  Tips

  • Where To Sit
    The cavernous main room is typical of a dining room in the Old South. Diners get a chance to watch the chef in action in the room's exposed cooking areas.
    
  • Parking
    There's complimentary valet. Suggested tip is $1 (minimum) for the person parking your car; $1 (minimum) for the person who retrieves your car.
    
  • Know Before You Go
    If you're a smoker, or enjoy dining alfresco, arrive in the early evening. The bar and the terrace are the only two areas that allow smoking.

  Used to like this place a lot. Lately has become fairly expensive. There are other places I'd rather eat at for the $$ but this place is OK for a change of pace.

  Michael Dean's only barely earned 2 stars from us. We went there for my birthday tonight. And while nothing was terrible, certainly nothing was good either. Crab cakes were overcooked on one side and were made with way too much bread…
