Join nearly a dozen home beer brewers along with several local breweries for some mouth watering libations at Homebrewed Raleigh while raising funds for the Raleigh City Museum on Sat. 10/23. Previously held in March of this year, the sold out event was a rousing success and is now back by popular demand.
Come prepared to talk hops and malted barleys on a relaxed fall day with fellow craft beer lovers while munching on eats from co-presenter, Busy Bee Cafe. Taste homebrews like Adam Eckhardt’s Spiced Pumpkin Ale, Les Stewart’s “Jitterbug” (Coffee Porter) brewed with Durham’s Counter Culture coffee beans, and Mike Sulyi’s Oktoberfest just to name a few. Other home brewers participating include Mike Frost, John Federal, Keil Jansen, Damian Maddalena, Aaron Miller, Jason Salemme, Sean White, and Mitch Woodard.
The event runs from 1pm-8pm and is divided into two tasting sessions. Tickets are sold out for the 5p-8p session, but there is still limited availability for the 1pm-4pm tasting. Tickets are $25 for Raleigh City Museum members and $30 for non-members and may be purchased at the Raleigh City Museum (220 Fayetteville St., downtown Raleigh). You must be 21 or over to participate in the tasting, and of course, arrive thirsty. To find out more about the event or to purchase tickets, visit www.raleighcitymuseum.org, or call 919.832.3775.
