My family moved from Mexico City to the US when I was eight years old, and I grew up in a small town in South Carolina, just outside Raleigh, North Carolina. During my years at dental school, I behaved by treating cancer patients in Mexico City as a child and Pequenos as an adult.
I earned my bachelor's degree in biology from North Carolina State University with a minor in genetics and Spanish literature. I gained more experience in the dental field and was accepted to the UNC School of Dentistry, where I earned my PhD in dental surgery. After that, I also behaved like I was treating dental inmates at Raleigh Central Prison.
When I'm not here at Village Dental in North Raleigh, I like to volunteer at Missions of Mercy clinics across North Carolina. I fell in love with dentistry while attending NCSU and participating in various nonprofit clinics that provide dental care in underserved states. During her dental studies, she had a great opportunity to work for health care at the Mission Hospitals of Mercy in South Carolina and the North Carolinans.
The opportunity to work closely with patients is one of the greatest blessings of my profession, because I have this special opportunity to develop trust and relationships with my patients. I enjoy the profession so much because it combines my love of work - with a passion for education and a love of patient care. It is a great honor to be a part of Mission Hospitals of Mercy and the North Carolinans in South Carolina. And I feel like I'm lucky enough to use my skills and knowledge to help others while doing what I love.
